"A rum tasted at the WLP. A nose of marzipan and glue with dried fruit. On the palate, there's glue, vegetal notes and quite a bit of bitterness. The finish is long on wood and dried fruit. A fine rum, but disappointing in direct comparison with WLP's HLCF."

"Foursquare Distillery 2007 Compagnie des Indes Distilled: 12.2007 Bottled: 07.2018 Aged 10 Years 62,1% Cask No. BF015 One of 267 Bottles Melasse Rum Farbe: Goldbraun Geruch: Alkoholisch scharf. Riecht nach vergammelten Kokosnüssen und Grapefruit-Schale. Ziemlich verquer und bei jedem Mal anders ... hat eine komische Geruchskomponente, wird dann aber nach längerem Stehen besser. Etwas Fudge/ Vanille/ Karamell. Geschmack: Süß mit Karamell, zugleich scharf im Mund. Beim Schlucken dann extrem kräftig und auch lecker. Würzig mit Aromen von Zitrusfrüchten, Toffee, Haselnuss, Kaffee und Lakritze."

"#4006 This one has more complexity to it than the 10 year old release. Lovely fruits mixed with roasted wood and spices. I like the caramel note in the profile. Draws nice curtains and the empty glass is lovely. Price to quality is so good that I ordered a bottle."

"Im Grunde nicht schlecht gemacht, was mich persönlich stört, ist das er nach gezuckert ist und dadurch ein wenig zu süß wird. Als Einsteiger zu empfehlen, weil er einen fairen Preis hat und gut die Brücke zwischen Barbados und Jamaica verbindet."

"The nose is super floral. It reminds me of a box full of ancient perfumes mixed with old fashioned sweets. The palate is full of Christmas fruitcake. A decent amount of cracked black pepper and some subtle white fruits. The taste of vanilla gets stronger over time. The finish is dry and medium in length. Indian cooking spices and freshly cut wood. It's interesting. By far the most floral rum I've tried so far. It's definitely for somebody, but I can't get past the old lady perfume."

"Smooth and well rounded, relatively sweet for a Rum without added sugar. Bourbon casks bring pronounced vanilla to add to the fruity notes. A bit of Jamaica funk i haven‘t seen in other Barbados bottlings yet. A hint of oak spice on the medium to long finish."
