“Tasted during the RumX masterclass. Huge thanks the guys from R&BT for presenting their range! Very nice exploration of some low(we) ester marks. While some of the noses were a little light, the long aged expressions are very interesting on the palate across the board. Very interesting! :)”

“RumX/Kirsch-Online-Tasting Rest&Be Thankful! 24 Jahre alt, Mark MMW und damit ein Wedderburn, Medium Pot, obwohl der Ester-Gehalt von 224 gr/hlpa eher in Richtung EMB geht. Nase: fruchtig-würzig mit etwas Holz und durchschimmernden Ester. Zitrusfrüchte Richtung Bergamotte, die typische Honig-Note und eine harzige Frische lassen das hohe Alter irgendwie nicht erkennen. An Frucht finde ich noch Stachelbeere und schwarze Johannisbeere. Hinten heraus kommt etwas Graphit oder Werkzeugöl. Sehr nett, 8,6. Gaumen: intensiv süß-würziger Antritt mit Honig, Süßholz und Anis. Kurz kommt etwas Graphit oder Bleistiftmine mit einer erneuten Anis-Spitze, bevor eine Mischung aus Tonkabohne und Aprikose mit etwas Banane übernimmt. Sehr angenehmes Mundgefühl, Ester vernehme ich aber kaum. 8,6”

“Creamy, gentle nose on butterscotch and marzipan. Slight fruityness. The palate gets more sweeter, fruits are more prominent plus a well balanced wood influence. Very well balanced, good alcohol integration. Finish a bit short.”
