“Un rhum très fonçé d’aspect. Un nez avec un alcool très bien intégré, avec du boisé et du fumé, du Porto, des agrumes. Un nez à la fois monolithique et complexe. Une bouche avec des tannins, très boisée, fumée, amère avec du végétal qui amène de la fraîcheur. Un net goût de réglisse (bois doux). En finale toujours des agrumes, de la fumée et de la réglisse. Cette amertume et ce boisé me font penser au Caroni Velier 1994 Guyana Stock. Le verre vide est magnifique avec des parfums de vieille maison en bois patinée et encaustiquée. “Ein ganz spezieller Tropfen. Die ersten 15 Minuten roch das Glas total nach Rindsfilet in Sahnesauce und nach Noten von Sumach. Der Rum benötigte (logischerweise) Zeit um sich zu öffnen. Der Geruch nach Milchprodukten blieb. Aber es kamen Tabak, Vanille, dunkle Schokolade, Fass dazu, gepaart mit einer schweren Süsse. Am Gaumen Vanille, Plastik, verbrannt, Torf, erdige Süsse, Mokka, Leder, Rauch. Er erinnert mich an diese kleinen Zucker-Ostereier. Abgang: süss, Tabak, Plastik, grün, Gewürz, getrocknete Früchte, bitter Spezielles Profil. Er schmeckt alt und gut. So ganz Top-Liga finde ich ihn aber nicht.”
