"Despite the price tag I gad to try this release and it didn't disappoint me. The price tag may be high, but is is also an old rum. Nice and fruity on the nose with some leather notes. Once rested even more notes appear. The palate is warm, dry and well balanced. Despite the age the wood isn't dominant but mixes very well with the fruits and floral notes. The finish warm and medium to long and dry with dried fruit and wood."

"Un rhum avec une couleur fonçée, un nez de banane sur-mûre, de rôti, un peu décadent. Une attaque nette en bouche, pas diluée malgré l’ABV assez léger, des arômes disparates de cuir, de fruits. Une finale longue, un peu amère. Verre vide bien plus aromatique."

"Herausragender Versailles-Vertreter, zählt zurecht zu den Benchmark-Rums dieser Still. Nur die Verdünnung und das damit möglicherweise verschenkte Potenzial für noch mehr Komplexität lässt sich als Kritikpunkt ausmachen - aber hier darf man auch einfach so Freude an einem Destillat haben, das zu keinem Punkt dünn oder wässrig daherkommt. Exzellent!"

"Le nez est un peu charpenté. La texture de la bouche est très agréable, surtout à ce degré d'alcool. Le profil n'est pas ce que je préfère mais je dois reconnaître que c'est un très bon spiritueux."

"Another pretty good release from Rum Nation. Try to let it rest for at least 15 minutes and also give it a try with a few drops of water to release all the flavours.The nose is well balanced and fruity with wood, chocolate, molasses and licorice.The palate is lightly bitter and alcoholic of you don't rest it. Wood, fruit, molasses and licorice trailed by a light herbal note. I like the spiciness on the palate that sticks for a while. The finish is long and warm with wood, chocolate and dried fruits."

"Gouté rapidement sur le Rhumfest. Encore une fois j'ai du mal à comprendre la "politique" El Dorado. Ça se vend pour deux fois le prix du 15ans. En gros un bon Versailles très torréfié, sucre brûlé et crème brulée mais réduit à 40%. C'est parfait pour découvrir un simple still sans monter les degrés d'alcool mais du coup, le prix n'est pas adapté. Et pour l'amateur qui veut le produit typé Versailles, le prix ne gênera pas mais le rhum mnque clairement d'intensité... Bref c'est un bon rhum facile d'accès mais si vous n'êtes pas spécialiste Guyana, vous prendrez un 15 ans sans hésiter pour vous faire plaisir à prix sympa et si vous êtes à fond, vous passerez votre chemin car il vous manquera quelque chose."

"No rum for the sober palate. The Versailles profiles need with me 3-4cl until they arrive. First impression was not great with all. Later, however, they unfold some complexity. This one still seems slightly watered down."
